Representing Hispanic culture in the theater.

LatinUs Theater Company, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization, was formed in January of 2018 to fulfill the growing need for a Hispanic/Latino artistic space, in Northeast Ohio, and to enrich the community with the cultural expression and artistic manifestation of the Hispanic/Latino arts.

Our passion is to improve the cultural experience and quality of life of the Hispanic/Latino community in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood and more broadly the Hispanic/Latin American population in the Greater Cleveland area. We accomplish this by providing access to quality pieces of Hispanic/Latino arts which promote and protect culture traditions through theater.

With increased representation by local artists and community leaders, the members of LatinUs Theater Company have put their hands and hearts together to form an organization which presents our stories, cultures, and traditions in a respectful, welcoming, and positive way. Here, every cultural experience is valued and shared free of stereotypes and misrepresentations.

LatinUs Theater Company contributes to educating the Greater Cleveland community by promoting and producing artistic and theatrical works in Spanish, honoring the cultural heritage and traditions of the Latin American population of Northeast Ohio.

We strongly believe that improving access to professional and genuine artistic expression will improve the dignity of a neighborhood that has grown impoverished through the decades. Over the years the Hispanic community has been losing its identity, traditions, and cultural stories in an attempt to assimilate. LatinUs Theater Company envisions fostering cultural pride and consciousness to combat this trend.

By preserving and protecting our rich culture through the arts and making it accessible to all, LatinUs Theater Company can help Greater Clevelanders understand our culture and what it means to be Hispanic/Latin American.
